4th ASM Conference on Cell-Cell Communication in Bacteria

The conference was held at Miami, Florida.  Angela contributed to the session on Symbiosis, Mutualism and Microbe-Microbe Communication with a presentation that had two alternative titles.  The long title was: Communication between Symbiotic Bacteria and their Animal Hosts. The short (real) title was: "Parlez-vous animal?"

Angela presented evidence that bacteria certainly "talk with the animals" by metabolite exchange and via interactions with the animal immune system.
