Pea Aphid Genome Annotation Workshop

The two-day Pea Aphid Genome Annotation Workshop was organized by Toni Gabaldon and held at the Center for Genomic Regulation at Barcelona, Spain on 4-5th June, 2009. A satellite meeting of the METNET consortium, comprising colleagues at the University of York, UK and Lyon, France with Angela as project partner, was held on 6th June.
METNET provided two oral presentations and posters for the Workshop, describing how new insights are being gained by combining aphid genome annotation with reconstruction of the metabolic networks and systems level analysis of metabolite flux, and presenting the AcypiCyc data base.
After the satellite meeting, the METNET group relaxed at a tremendous paella cafe and sightseeing at Goudi's Sagrada Familia.
