The Patton Symposium and Workshops on Insect Nutrition

Participants from across campus, University of Rochester and University at Buffalo (SUNY) joined us for a morning Symposium addressing Perspectives on Insect Nutrition. 

The Symposium was accompanied by two parallel workshops in the afternoon:

  • gas exchange and metabolic rates of insects, with Professor Jon Harrison (Arizona State University), and

  • discussion headed by Professor Paul Schmidt (University of Pennsylvania) on the power of combining -omics techniques with experimental studies of insects in the field and laboratory.
